Got doubts about Christians? Even more skeptical of the church? Think lightening might strike if you showed up? Join the club...seriously. Discovery Church is made up of people who not long ago felt far from God and could never picture themselves in a church. So we understand where you're at and invite you to come as you are. Bring your questions and wear what you want. Just remember, no making out in the back row.
Discovery Church FAQ
- 1. What should I wear to Discovery Church?
- A: Whatever you are comfortable in. You will see people in jeans, khakis and shorts, tees, hoodies, and polos.
- 2. How long is the service?
- A: The service is about one hour. It will include teaching from the Bible, live music, funny videos, and popcorn buckets.
- 3. Why do you meet in a movie theater?
- A: Why not?!? Besides the cool screen, the comfy seats, the drink holders...We want to be where people are...and people are going to movies. Movies tell the stories of today, just like parables did in Jesus' time.
- 4. Is Discovery Associated with any particular denomination?
- A: Yes, Discovery is a part of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Our denomination ties us to a legacy of historical beliefs while holding us accountable to faithfully proclaim biblical truth today. (or something like that)
