Easter @ Discovery Church
Got doubts about Christians? Even more skeptical of the church? Think lightening might strike if you showed up? Join the club...seriously. Discovery Church is made up of people who not long ago felt far from God and could never picture themselves in a church. So we understand where you're at and invite you to come as you are. Bring your questions and wear what you want. Just remember, no making out in the back row.
Missions
The church is much larger than Discovery Church; we are but a part. We strive to connect with other agencies, both local and international, to make a difference in our world.
Discovery Church takes its commitment to helping those its community serious. To that end, we have partnered with Tekoppel Elementary to help them prepare children for success in life. You might find Discovery attendees leading an after-school program or painting the playground or donating food to help hungry kids.
Discovery's other local partners include the Evansville Rescue Mission and Intervarsity of Christian Fellowship on the University of Evansville and University of Southern Indiana's campuses.
Internationally, Discovery wants to help those who are least able to help themselves. We have partnered with major relief organizations to address the systemic problems facing the developing world: clean water, lack of education, proper nutrition sources, among other issues. Discovery is currently partnering with World Vision and Samaritan Purse.
