Easter @ Discovery Church
Got doubts about Christians? Even more skeptical of the church? Think lightening might strike if you showed up? Join the club...seriously. Discovery Church is made up of people who not long ago felt far from God and could never picture themselves in a church. So we understand where you're at and invite you to come as you are. Bring your questions and wear what you want. Just remember, no making out in the back row.
Staff
Trey McClain
Role at Discovey: Pastor
Hometown: Born in FL, but Evansville is home
What I like best about Discovery: Beside free coffee and donuts? I love that people can comfortably explore who God is and what His plans are for their lives...all in a movie theater!
I have lived in: Florida, Indiana, England, Tennessee, South Africa, and Louisiana. Okay...South Africa was more like an extended vacation (8 weeks).
Favorite Bible verse: Philippians 4:13: "I can do everything through Him who gives me strength."
I like to: read (I'm a bibliophile). I love playing sports (especially softball) and watching the University of Florida Gators. It's great to be a Florida Gator!
My one hidden talent (which isn't so hidden anymore) is: that my thumbs are double-jointed. This means I'm one great thumb wrestler.

Role at Discovey: Director of small group ministries and connections
Hometown: Huntington, IN
What I like best about Discovery: I like that Discovery is a "come as you are" kind of church, that it doesn't matter what you wear or where you are in your spiritual journey, you are welcome!
I have lived in: Indiana, Ann Arbor, MI, Istanbul, Turkey and Orlando, FL plus a few summers in Ft. Collins, CO, Chicago, IL and Virginia Beach, VA.
Favorite Bible verse:"I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I am!" John 8:58
I like to: Run, hang out with friends, try new recipes/restaurants, talk theology, history and current events, travel, explore and scrapbook my adventures.
My one hidden talent (which isn't so hidden anymore) is: Only one? I can sing the first verse of "O Christmas Tree" auf Deutsch, memorized it for a high school German Class and I still remember it!
